General Questions
Q. Where are you based?
A. We are based just outside of London but have many performers based all over the UK, Wales and Scotland, so there will always be a performer near by. Q. What area do you cover? A. We can and do cover the entire world and have many performers based in many countries! Q. How much do you charge?A. We cannot list prices on the website because prices differ for every show/service and depend on a number of things: mainly location, month of the year, day of the week, and the amount and type of entertainment you require. Please drop us an email or a call for a free quote. Q. How do i pay? A. Circus Magic accepts three different payment methods: - BAC (bank transfer)
- Cheque
- Cash paid directly into the company's HSBC bank account.
Q. Do you have public liability insurance?A. Yes, all of our performers are fully insured with equity performers insurance. A copy can be emailed to you upon request. Fire ShowsQ. How long does a fire show last?A. It’s completely up to you!.. We have recommended show but regularly make bespoke packages to make your show perfectly fit your occasion. An example of one of our recommended shows: For a wedding, a two person show lasting 15 minutes and performed three times is very popular, or for more of a set show with a larger audience, our 5 performer 25 minute show is an amazing experience which the audience will never forget.
Q. What are the different disciplines of fire performance?A. Please go onto the fire display page and click on the discipline you don’t know and it will bring up a brief description.
Q. Do we need to have insurance for a fire show?A. No, we carry public liability insurance (see above), which covers us to perform.
Q. How safe is a fire show?A. Very safe, as long as you understand that part of our performers' job is to follow our strict safety guidelines during and perform full fire safety checks prior to a performance. We are very proud to say that we have never had a single safety incident. This is because of high levels of staff training and care we take.
Q. What is glow equipment/how does it work?A. Glow equipment is a good substitute for fire in an indoor or crowded environment, as it provides a similar effect as to the fire, though of course fire is much more impressive! Instead of having wicks soaked in paraffin, the equipment is made out of hard plastic with very powerful LEDs inside.
Q. Can you perform fire indoors?A. Yes, as long as there is a high ceiling and the building is well ventilated.
Q. What happens if the weather is bad?A. All fire shows can still be performed in the wind and rain, it just might be less comfortable for your audience! A show will only be stopped if the wind or rain gets so heavy that it makes performing the show dangerous for our staff or your guests.
Q. Does a show fire damage the ground in anyway?A. No not at all. If the show is performed on grass you won’t have known it was there the next day. If the show is on a hard surface the residue will make it a bit slippery after the show but can be easily mopped up with soapy water and doesn’t stain.
Q. Do you bring your own music?A. Circus Magic owns two large PA systems and can provide music for any event. For most shows music isn’t included but can be arranged at a small fee.
Q. How much room do you need for a fire show?A. Normally we ask for at least a 5x5 meter square, but we can look into how we could make the show possible in the space that you have available.
